Javier Alatorre is the owner/director of Alatorre Law. His practice is focused on civil litigation, criminal defense, and legal consulting in Mexican legal affairs. Javier holds several Law degrees: a “Licenciatura en Derecho” or Bachelor of Law degree from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, an LLM or Master of Laws degree, and a JD or Juris Doctor degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law of the University of Hawaii. Javier has significant practical experience of over 17 years and exemplary dedication to the legal profession.

Javier worked at the Pima County Public Defender’s office; a Hawaii-based Criminal Defense law firm; he was a Criminal Law teaching/research assistant for the William S. Richardson School of Law of the University of Hawaii; and he also worked as a clerk-extern with the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii, under the Honorable J. Michael Seabright. While in law school, Javier worked with the Hawaii Innocence Project. After moving to Arizona, he also worked as a volunteer attorney for the Innocence Project, liaising between Hawaii and Hawaiian inmates currently in custody in prisons located in Arizona and contributing to post-conviction relief proceedings for these inmates.

Javier is a native of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. When he is away from the office, he enjoys swimming, running, scuba diving, and spending time with his family.
